Red Dot Sight Pistol

COURSE DESCRIPTION: As firearms technology advances, more and more individuals are starting to equip their pistols with red dot sights.  Many are installing red dot sights and employing them without having proper training or practice with Pistol mounted RDS optics.  This 16 hour RDS course will help individuals familiarize themselves with the differences in use of iron sights vs. RDS equipped handguns and how to choose proper reliable equipment.  Additionally, this course will cover RDS armoring, program maintenance, and how to select proper tools and equipment to have on hand to maintain their RDS system.

COURSE LENGTH: 2 Days/Approximately 16 Hours

PREREQUISITES: Must be proficient with basic firearms fundamentals.  It is recommended that Students have completed a basic handgun course prior to enrollment. This is a fast paced course and not meant for in experienced shooters.

AUDIENCE: Law Enforcement, Military, Legally Armed Citizens

​

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Handgun with RDS. At least 3 magazines and magazine pouch, Holster must attach via the belt (paddle holsters are not allowed). 600 rounds of handgun ammunition. 10 dummy rounds.  Eye protection and electronic ear protection. Water and snacks recommended.
