COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In today’s dynamic and high-risk environments, law enforcement agencies require cutting-edge tools to enhance officer safety and operational effectiveness. Interior Flight Operations is designed to equip patrol officers and tactical teams with the skills needed to operate small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) in GPS-denied environments such as buildings, tunnels, and other confined spaces.

 

This hands-on training focuses on tactical indoor drone deployment for SWAT, EOD, HazMat/CBRNe, and other specialized units, allowing officers to safely and effectively clear rooms, gather intelligence, locate suspects, and assess hazardous situations without unnecessary risk to personnel.

 

This training provides law enforcement officers with a force-multiplying capability, increasing mission success while reducing risk in high-threat environments. Whether responding to barricaded suspects, executing high-risk search warrants, or assessing hazardous materials incidents, this course ensures your agency maximizes its sUAS potential for safer and smarter operations.

PREREQUISITES: FAA sUAS Part 107 Certificate or Agency Certificate of Authorization

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

​Any small or interior-capable sUAS with propeller guards, FPV goggles and controller or standalone controller with on board display, spare propellers for sUAS, spare batteries, battery charger, 12v car charger if available, sUAS mounted light system, MicroSD card for sUAS, notepad and pen/pencil.
